La popularización de la cultura alemana en Argentina : Editorial Claridad y Alejandro Korn como mediadores (1922-1949)

| Resumen: | La presente investigación doctoral tiene como propósito indagar en la recepción popular que se ha hecho de la cultura alemana en Argentina a través de dos mediadores culturales que propiciaron la divulgación de obras y pensadores germanoparlantes entre los sectores populares argentinos. La primera mediación es efectuada por Editorial Claridad, fundada por Antonio Zamora en la Buenos Aires de 1922 en el marco del ideario socialista con el propósito de promover el acceso al libro y la lectura entre los sectores sociales que, de otra manera, no podían comprar su material de lectura y, por consiguiente, de instrucción. La segunda figura mediadora es Alejandro Korn, médico, profesor y filósofo argentino de ascendencia alemana, quien a lo largo de su vasta trayectoria académica y política, participó de diferentes instancias educativas divulgando el pensamiento filosófico, en términos generales, y las ideas de autores germanos, en particular. Como se desarrollará en esta pesquisa, tanto el proyecto de Zamora como el de Korn tienen puntos en común e incluso, llegan a articularse hacia la década de 1930. Por ese entonces, el filósofo se afilió al Partido Socialista y, a partir de ese momento, Claridad inicia la publicación de las obras kornianas. En este sentido, la tesis profundiza en la convergencia y retroalimentación entre ambos proyectos político-pedagógicos a través de los cuales no sólo se divulgó la cultura alemana en el territorio argentino, sino también se contribuyó a la difusión del pensamiento de Korn, al enaltecimiento de su figura y a consagrarlo como el gran filósofo nacional. The purpose of this doctoral research is to investigate the popular reception of German culture in Argentina through two cultural mediators who facilitated the dissemination of works and German-speaking thinkers among the popular sectors of Argentina. The first mediator is the Claridad publishing house, founded by Antonio Zamora in Buenos Aires in 1922 within the framework of socialist ideals. Its aim was to promote access to books and reading for social sectors that otherwise could not afford reading material and, consequently, instruction. The second mediator is Alejandro Korn, an Argentine psychiatrist, professor and philosopher of German descent. Throughout his extensive academic and political career, Korn participated in various educational initiatives, disseminating philosophical thought in general and the ideas of German authors in particular. As will be developed in this research, both Zamora's and Korn's projects share common points and even collaborated by the 1930s. At that time, Korn had joined the Socialist Party, and Claridad began publishing his works. In this regard, the thesis deepens the convergence and mutual influence of these two political-pedagogical projects, which not only contributed to the dissemination of German culture in Argentina but also played a crucial role in spreading Korn's ideas, enhancing his figure, and establishing him as the great national philosopher. Die vorliegende Doktorarbeit zielt darauf ab, durch zwei kulturelle Vermittler die populäre Rezeption deutscher Kultur in Argentinien zu untersuchen, die die Verbreitung von deutschsprachigen Werken und Denkern unter den argentinischen Volksschichten gefördert hat. Die erste Vermittlung wird von Claridad Verlag durchgeführt. Dieser Verlag wurde 1922 von Antonio Zamora im Rahmen der sozialistischen Ideen in Buenos Aires gegründet, um den Zugang zu Büchern und zur Lektüre für die Bevölkerungsschichten zu fördern, die sich keinen Zugang zum Buch und damit zum Bildungswesen verschaffen konnten. Die zweite vermittelnde Figur ist Alejandro Korn: Arzt, Professor und Philosoph deutscher Herkunft. Während seiner langen akademischen und politischen Laufbahn nahm Korn an verschiedenen Bildungsinstanzen teil, um das philosophische Denken im Allgemeinen und die Ideen deutscher Autoren im Besonderen zu verbreiten. Wie in dieser Studie gezeigt werden soll, weisen sowohl das Projekt von Zamora als auch das von Korn Gemeinsamkeiten auf und gehen sogar bis in die 1930er Jahre zurück. Zu dieser Zeit trat der Philosoph der Sozialistischen Partei bei, und ab diesem Zeitpunkt begann Claridad mit der Veröffentlichung seiner Werke. In diesem Zusammenhang vertieft die Untersuchung die Konvergenz und das Feedback zwischen den beiden politisch-pädagogischen Projekten, durch die nicht nur die deutsche Kultur in Argentinien verbreitet wurde, sondern auch zur Verbreitung von Korns Gedanken, zur Erhöhung seiner Figur und zur Weihe als großer nationaler Philosoph beigetragen hat.^lde |
