Políticas de memoria sobre el devenir de las sociedades indígenas en la historia regional : Análisis a partir del caso de la Reserva Integral Laguna de los Padres

| Resumen: | En esta investigación nos proponemos indagar sobre el lugar que ha ocupado "lo indígena" dentro de las narrativas dominantes respecto al devenir histórico de la ciudad de Mar del Plata. Buscamos analizar las políticas de memoria acerca del pasado y, particularmente, del pasado indígena, promovidas por el Museo municipal José Hernández y por la réplica de la Reducción jesuítica Nuestra señora del Pilar. Ambos espacios alusivos al devenir local, se encuentran emplazados en la Reserva Integral "Laguna de los Padres", a unos 14 Km de la ciudad de Mar del Plata. Estos sitios, constituyen un lugar relevante dentro de la oferta turística y cultural marplatense posibilitando comunicar un conjunto de enunciados respecto a los orígenes de la ciudad y a la historia de la región. Abordamos estos dos dispositivos culturales (Agamben 2011) como lugares de memoria (Nora 1984), ya que no solo historizan y divulgan relatos sobre el pasado, sino que también promueven y permiten activar determinadas memorias, recuerdos y/o experiencias compartidas desde el presente. En este sentido, siguiendo los postulados de Michael Pollak (2006), el Museo y la réplica de la Reducción jesuítica funcionan como indicadores empíricos de la memoria colectiva de determinados grupos, una memoria estructurada con sus jerarquías y clasificaciones que, al definir y delimitar lo que es común a un grupo y lo que lo diferencia de los demás, refuerza los sentimientos de pertenencia. In this research we propose to investigate the place that "the indigenous" has occupied within the dominant narratives regarding the historical development of the city of Mar del Plata. We seek to analyze the memory policies about the past and, particularly, the indigenous past, promoted by the José Hernández Municipal Museum and by the replica of the Jesuit Reduction Nuestra Señora del Pilar. Both spaces, alluding to the local future, are located in the "Laguna de los Padres" Integral Reserve, about 14 km from the city of Mar del Plata. These sites constitute a relevant place within the tourist and cultural offer of Mar del Plata, making it possible to communicate a set of statements regarding the origins of the city and the history of the region. We approach these two cultural devices (Agamben 2011) as places of memory (Nora 1984), since they not only historicize and disseminate stories about the past, but also promote and allow the activation of certain memories, memories and/or experiences shared from the present. In this sense, following the postulates of Michael Pollak (2006), the Museum and the replica of the Jesuit Reduction function as empirical indicators of the collective memory of certain groups, a memory structured with its hierarchies and classifications that, by defining and delimiting what What is common to a group and what differentiates it from others, reinforces feelings of belonging. |
