| Resumen: | El avance que el movimiento internacional de acceso abierto ha tenido en esta última década hace suponer que se está asistiendo a un cambio importante en el modelo de comunicación científica. En este trabajo se presentan los conceptos fundamentales del movimiento, a la vez que se busca mensurar el impacto que el mismo ha tenido en Latinoamérica a partir del desarrollo de diferentes estrategias The advance that the international open access movement has had in the last decade may seem to suggest that we are witnessing an important change in the model of scientific communication.
